Diane M. Browder Dr. Diane Browder is Co-investigator with Claudia Flowers for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte partnership in the National Alternate Assessment Center. At UNC Charlotte, Dr. Browder is the Snyder Distinguished Professor of Special Education and coordinator of the doctoral program. Dr. Browder has over two decades of research and writing on assessment and instruction for students with severe disabilities. Recently, she has focused on alternate assessment and linking both assessment and instruction to the general curriculum. She is Principal Investigator for Project RAISE, a U.S. Department of Education funded center to study teaching literacy skills to students with significant cognitive disabilities. Dr. Browder is a lifetime member of TASH and currently serves as Vice President of the Research Division of CEC.
